My partner and I have had such a great experience taking Robbie’s beginner Queer Ballroom classes. With absolutely no prior dance background, after 6 weeks we can confidently do 4 kinds of ballroom dance independently. Robbie creates such a warm and non-intimidating environment that makes learning so easy. Would highly recommend!

Super fun, friendly class and teacher! Not intimidating even for those without any dance experience. I loved the beginner class I took with my partner and we can’t wait to continue taking Robbie’s classes!

I took the first Queer Ballroom class in the series of 6. I walked away feeling so lucky that I found this class. It was the most fun I have had is a long time. It was such an amazing experience to be in that room to together and to have Robbie lead us. I can’t wait until my next class and I will definitely continue after the introduction series if offered. I am hooked. So grateful. Run, don’t walk to these classes.

My husband and I recently took the introduction session and plan on taking the full class. It was such a great experience. Robbie, the instructor, makes the class a lot of fun and is super encouraging. The atmosphere is great and not intimidating (especially for someone with two left-feet like me!). I’d highly recommend this course!

Super approachable, super fun! This was my first time doing partner dancing and it was an amazing way to try something new and while meeting new people! Robbie is an incredibly knowledgeable instructor(and wonderfully hilarious😂) Can’t wait for level 2! 😘 …

My wife and I have been dancing with Queer Ballroom for several years and love it! You couldn’t ask for a better dance teacher than Robbie - his sense of humor, encouragement, knowledge and talent are unmatchable. The community is supportive and fun, and it is a highlight of our week! So grateful for this class!

I’ve been coming to the Queer Ballroom classes since my wife and I wanted to learn a little about dancing to do a fun first dance at our wedding. We both expected the lessons to last only a few months, but that was 3 years ago... The classes are not only fun, but they’ve also become a wonderful source of community and joy. They’re trans friendly, and the system of rotating partners means you don’t have to bring anyone with you and you get to choose whether to learn each dance as a leader or follower. The level 1 classes are very casual and include lots of people (like me) with no prior experience dancing, so don’t be intimidated!

Warm inviting dance space for queer folks. I go with my husband but the great thing is you don’t need a partner! You decide if you want to lead or follow, then partners switch every few minutes. You get to meet a lot of queer folks, all ages, so far all super nice. And it’s fun!

Robbie is a fantastic teacher! I’m someone with zero dancing experience but he makes the class very easy to follow. It’s a very fun and joyful environment

What a wonderful experience. Robbie’s abundant warmth, generosity, and humor - not to mention his amazing expertise - made for a joyous introduction to this beautiful world of partner dancing. Can’t wait to resume.

Wonderful classes, very warm and inclusive whether you come in with a partner or on your own. I learn a lot, I’ve had fun from the very first class, and the fun only gets better with every class. Im enrolling for level 2!

This dance community is one of the best things about NYC. Robbie does such a great job cultivating a positive, welcoming, affirming atmosphere for all—and he’s a wonderful dance teacher to boot. Good people, good dancing, great community. Whether you’re an experienced dancer or a curious beginner, you’ve come to the right place.

These classes are just so fun! My wife and I have been taking them for several years and we keep signing up for more. Robbie is an encouraging, patient, funny teacher who creates a very welcoming, relaxed environment. The community is lovely and it’s a great opportunity to be in a fun, chill, accepting, queer space.

Robbie has created a beautiful community through Ballroom for All. Whether you’re new to ballroom or have danced for years, Robbie’s approach not only develops skill, but builds connection with fellow dancers in a fun, inclusive environment. I’m so grateful for this community and highly recommend to others.
